Accessibility Awards


MACAI is proud to be hosting the 14th Annual Accessibility and Inclusion Awards.  Nominations are being sought in the area of Universal/Architectural Access (Residential/Commercial); Leisure and Recreation; Customer Service; Volunteer/Employment and Citizen Champion.  Please feel free to nominate an organization or individual who you feel has provided exceptional services for individuals with varying abilities with in our community, in one of the above mentioned areas.

Nomination forms should be submitted to Petra Frederick, MACAI Staff Liaison.  Forms can be dropped off at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre, faxed to (604) 467-7393 or emailed.  If you have any further questions regarding the event, please do not hesitate to contact Petra Frederick at (604) 467 7355 or via email.

MACAI will be hosting the 14th Annual Accessibility Awards Ceremony on June 15th, 2017 for appreciation and recognition of all outstanding examples of accessibility at the Maple Ridge City Hall Council Chambers.  We hope that you will be able to attend this appreciation event to honor the award winners.  The event will be from 7:00 to 8:00 pm with a small reception running from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and the awards presentation starting at 7:00 pm.

Do you have an idea or concern regarding accessibility in our community? Our meetings are open to the public. Come out to a meeting to learn more about the work of the committee and provide your point of view.  Or submit your idea or concern directly to Petra Frederick.


Members


The Committee includes up to five local residents, eight representatives from government and community agencies, and representatives of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Councils.
