  1. Celebrate Pride in Maple Ridge

    July 28, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Memorial Peace Park

    Everyone is welcome to join us in celebration and show their support for LGTBQ, Pride and Diversity by attending the Community BBQ to be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 between Noon and 3:00 pm in Memorial Peace Park. This event is being hosted by PLEA Community Services Society of BC, in collaboration with the City of Maple Ridge. At approximately 1:00 pm the City of Maple Ridge will hold a Rainbow Crosswalk Dedication for the newly installed rainbow crosswalk located on 224 Street (between Lougheed Hwy and Dewdney Trunk Road). There will also be a candlelight vigil at the bandstand between 8:00 - 9:00 pm hosted by The Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.     The Vancouver Aquarium's AquaZone is coming to FVRL this summer! Explore artifacts to learn about the feeding habits of animals living on land and in the ocean in Canada's North.   4. Haney Farmers Market is having a Corn Roast

    July 30, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Memorial Peace Park

    Come for the Corn Roast from 10:30 am, while supplies last. $3 cob for hot, roasted, butttery, non GMO corn. Is summer here at last? Our farmers have vegetables and fruit from Apricots to Zucchini, and plenty of herbs! We have the freshest vegetables in town and all at Memorial Peace Park on 224th.

  5. Caribbean Festival

    July 30, 1:00 PM - July 31, 8:30 PM @ Albion Fairgrounds

    The 16th annual Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival will take place July 30-31, 2016 at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds. The festival will feature 2 large stages with continuous music provided by 15 live bands from the Lower Mainland’s Caribbean community, featuring Reggae, Calypso, Salsa and Soca music. Over 100 entertainers will showcase the music and culture of their islands. In addition to the music, make sure you enhance the experience by visiting: Our wide variety of food vendors, offering authentic Caribbean foods from Jerk chicken to curried goat. 60-70 street vendors displaying their goods at the Caribbean open air market. A large kid zone with rides, face painting and a number of other activities planned for our small festival goers. This great family event is free and has attracted up to 18,000 festival patrons last year and has become one of the favorite summer festivals in the Lower Mainland.

    July 28, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Hammond Stadium & Pool

    We are a non-profit summer soccer day camp offering grassroots soccer programming from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, and various camp games and swimming in the afternoons from 1:00-4:00 pm. We operate out of Hammond Stadium field weekly, beginning July 4, 2016 until September 2, 2016. For more information, check out our website or give us a call! Registrations are open now and can be done online or by mail/fax.
