Municipal Elections

The local government election will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The citizens of Maple Ridge elect one mayor, six councillors and five school trustees (for School District No. 42). Maple Ridge holds elections in accordance with the Local Government Act, the Community Charter and the School Act.

    - Friday, September 14 at 4:00 pm
  • Declaration of Candidates

    - Friday, September 14 at 4:00 pm in the Council Chamber (City Hall)
  • Deadline for Challenge of Nominations

    - Tuesday, September 18 at 4:00 pm
  • Deadline for Withdrawal of Candidates

    - Friday, September 21 at 4:00 pm
  • Declaration of Election by Voting

    – Monday, September 24 at 4:00 pm in the Council Chamber (City Hall)
  • Campaign Period

    - September 22 to October 20 (relates to campaign finance tracking, not to the activity of campaigning)
  • General Voting Day

    – Saturday, October 20 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm 
  • Declaration of Official Election Results

    - Wednesday, October 24 at 4:00 pm
  • Inaugural Council Meeting

    - Tuesday, November 6
  • Financial Disclosure Statement Deadline

    - January 18, 2019
